报告人简介:
Yuying Yan is Chair Professor at University of Nottingham, UK; also a Guest Chair Professor at DLMU. His research covers widely ranged areas of thermofluids including heat transfer enhancement, applied thermodynamics, phase change, nanofluids and nature inspired solutions for energy efficiency and thermal management. His research also highly focuses on the interface of heat mass transfer and the coupling of thermofluids with surfaces. He is the first Group Head of cross-departments of thermofluids research in the faculty, which consists of 25 academic members from Built Environment, Chemical, Civil and Mechanical Engineering. He is founding member of international society of Bionic Engineering and stranded as Deputy General Secretary of the society for the first 10 years of the society. He has been identified by Clarivate as top 1% world highly cited researcher (engineering) in 2025 based on his past 11 years research publications in web of sciences. He is also the winner of David Kenning Award in Two Phase (Boiling) Heat Transfer in 2024 awarded by the UK national heat transfer committee selected around the world and reviewed by the international leading authorities of heat transfer.
报告内容摘要:
The talk will focus on how nature solutions could help tackle the challenges of heat transfer including the following:
· Biomimetics in thermal energy storage – Heat transfer characteristics of latent heat thermal energy storage
· Microencapsulated PCMs for thermal management
· Physics-informed neural networks (PINNs) modelling of thermal management
· Conclusions
