摘要 ABSTRACT:

With the advent of digital technologies, specifically ship connectivity, sensor technology, data analytics, and public and commercial available data sources relevant to shipping traffic and weather forecast and hindcast, many efforts are devoted to the concepts and methodologies for data-driven ship structural health assessment. A structural digital twin, which fuses data and data analytics with multi-physics and multi-scale models, analysis, and simulations, evolves the ship structural assessment and monitoring from ship type and ship design specific to individual ship operation specific.
The data-driven structural condition monitoring, assessment and prediction unlock the potential benefits to be derived from the ship-operation-specific approach, specifically optimized operations, condition-based dry-dock, inspection and survey planning, life extension, and fleet management with enhanced reliability, availability,  maintainability, and safety while reducing ships operational and support costs.
According to the data availability and effort levels, various tiers of data-driven approaches will benefit owners and operators with different operational strategy and balance the outcomes with investment. In any case, the data-driven structural condition assessment approach will assist them on claiming the most values from data.
